We're up at a cottage in Seabrook, NH this week and we have some kids next door to us. It's funny to watch our kids and my newphews interact with the kids next door just like they've known each other for years. I wonder when, we, as adults, lose that gift.
My guess is that it gets lost when we get into the pre-teen stage. At that point, it's when the whole "boys and girls" situation comes into play.
