To all you Catholics out there, Happy Good Friday. I'm a Catholic, but not a practicing one. Yea, I believe in God and all that but the last time I went to church was when I worked for a Catholic high school. It's not because I don't want to go, but I believe that you don't have actually go to a building to pray or to think about things larger than yourself (though I'm a pretty big guy so that's hard to do ;) )
My point, religion in IMHO is what you make of it. Whether you're Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, Buddhist, or even Atheist for that matter, you can believe what you want to believe and practice your religion how you want to practice it. That's the beauty of it. Find a bucket you want to place your beliefs in, then tweak it as you see fit.
It works for me. Yea, I know, that's a pretty lame way to explain religion. For some, their faith is the basis of everything they do. That's cool. I respect that. For some, it doesn't even register as a blip on the radar screen. That's also cool. I also respect that. And for others, it is present in their lives (maybe not visible all the time), but you know and feel that it's there. I'm that bucket and hasn't failed me yet.
To you non-Catholic's out there...party hard. It's Friday. ;)
